Unit 2 Fitness offers several classes that can be used as effective self defense systems. We believe that the ONLY way to learn how self defense is the drilling of the techniques you will use and working with live opponents in actual self defense scenarios. This helps you learn how to read your opponent, evade attacks, and even take attacks. It also will prepare you for the stress of live combat.
Our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program is an excellent way to learn how to control an attacker on the ground and put a larger and stronger opponent in a situation where they can not continue to attack you. We have a beginner program for BJJ and also a women’s only BJJ class.
Our Muay Thai program will teach you how to defend yourself without going to the ground.You will learn foot work, punches, kicks, elbows, knees, and the clinch (neck wrestling). We offer a beginner program to learn the fundamentals of Thai boxing.
