Obese men are more likely to be injured in a car wreck

According to a recent study by the Public Library of Science obese men are more significantly likely to suffer serious upper body injury in car wrecks than normal weight men. It is well known that being overweight puts men at risk for a number of serious medical conditions including heart disease and diabetes; but this new study shows obese men also have serious risk of injury to the head, face, chest and spine when in car accidents.  The study did not show similar results for obese women.  This was attributed to a difference in weight distribution in men and women.

If you are an obese man you need to start making changes now.
