Fitness 360

New Fitness Class

Starting March 1st Unit 2 Fitness will be offering a new fitness class:

Fitness 360 is a combination of agility training, resistance training, boot camp, and interval training. This class is designed to increase your strength, coordination, balance, quickness, power, and overall athleticism. This is an excellent addition to your training program that will increase your lean muscle.

Lean muscle is critical for your overall fitness. For every pound of fat, your body burns only 5 calories per day, but for every pound of muscle, your body burns between 35 to 50 calories per day. While cardio burns calories, weight training increases your metabolism.

Adding lean muscle will
• Sculpt and tone your body
• Help you lose weight
• Change the shape of your body
• Boost your strength and energy
• Increase bone density to prevent osteoporosis
• Increase blood circulation to combat cellulite on thighs and glutes

This class is offered Monday at 5:30 PM, Wednesday at 6:30 pm, Thursday at 5:30 PM, and Saturday at 10:00 AM. The class is $10 per month for exsiting Unit 2 members.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Charity Event at Unit 2

Saturday April 10th Unit 2 Fitness is hosting a charity fund raiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. St. Jude opened in 1962 and treats children from all around the world. It is the only pediatric cancer center designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute. The $1.4 million daily operating budget is primarily raised by the public. If you are interesting in participating in this please let us know so we can get you setup for the event.

Muay Thai

Hugh Harris is back from training in Thialand

Hugh is back from training in Thailand. During his 3 months in Thailand he trained at some of the top camps and learned from the best in the world. He also fought a Thai while he was there and won by KO in the 2nd round. He is going to be resuming teaching at Unit 2. He is teaching Advanced Muay Thai on Mondays and Wednesdays.
