Minimalist Shoes

As many of you know we require shoes for doing Unit 2 CrossFit.  What many do not know is what shoes are best for doing CrossFit.

We believe that the best shoes for doing CrossFit are flat minimalist shoes.  A minimalist shoe is one that is light, flat, thin, flexible and give a wide toe to enable free motion of the toes.  Excessive padding in shoes can actually cause knee pain and reduce stability while lifting.    Below is a short list of shoes that will get you though any Workout of the Day we might throw at you.

  • Merrell Barefoot
  • New Balance Minimus
  • Vivobarefoot
  • Chuck Taylor All Star (my personal favorite based on $$$)
