Starting in August you will begin to notice some changes on the Crossfit side of Unit 2 Fitness.
1. The Program
Beginning August 4th every class will consist of Mobility, Strength & the Workout Of the Day (WOD).
- August Powerlifting Focus: Deadlift
- August Weightlifting Focus: Snatch
- August Gymnastic Focus: Kipping Pull-Up
2. Athlete Levels
Monday, August 25th & Wednesday, August 27th will be the first Unit 2 Crossfit Testing Days. All athletes start at the beginner level and the coaching staff will select 9 exercises or movements from the Unit 2 Athlete Levels below. The athletes are expected to pass 8 out of 9 during the one hour class to advance to the next level.
3. The Community
Monthly Challenges & Competitions – There will be a variety of challenges and competitions throughout the year:
- September: Paleo Challenege
- October: Every Rep Counts – Unit 2 Member & Family Crossfit Competition
Free Sunday Park Workouts – Sunday, August 10th & Sunday, August 24th Unit 2 Crossfit will offer a free park workout for all our members and their family and friends. You can meet us at Unit 2 Crossfit at 9:30a.m or meet at the gate of Piedmont Park (Corner of Piedmont Ave & 12th St) at 10a.m. Also, join us for lunch at Willy’s afterwards.
