Grappling

Grappling is the generic term for any martial art where competitors use techniques and maneuvers to gain physical dominance over their opponent.  Typically, when people refer to grappling they are speaking of wrestling, jiu-jitsu, or judo.  In mixed martial arts competition and training grappling is the portion of the match that takes place in the clinch and on the ground.  At the gym we teach classes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and in No gi BJJ (Submission Wrestling) so that you can learn how to grapple both using your opponents clothing to your advantage in the gi and also without this ability in no gi.
