Muay Thai

As the national sport of Thailand, Muay Thai is similar to kickboxing, however it also employs knees, elbows, and clinch work. We stress ring control and ring movement in the classes so that if you choose to compete you will be properly prepared for ring competition. The classes are taught in our Muay Thai room that features a 26 foot competition boxing ring, heavy bags, and large mat space for shadow boxing. The class is taught so that it can be used either as an independent system or as an essential element for integration into an MMA game.  You will learn proper foot work, fight strategy, punching, kicking,

Class Length: 60-90 minutes
Attire: Muay Thai shorts
Equipment Needed: Boxing gloves, hand wraps, jump rope, mouth guard, head gear, shin pads, and groin protector
You will need running shoes for Tues/Thurs morning class.

Experience Needed: none for beginner class. Instructor approval for non-beginner classes.
