Unit 2 CrossFit class is a strength and conditioning program that combines weightlifting, sprinting, gymnastics, powerlifting, kettlebell training, plyometrics, rowing, and medicine ball training. We use CrossFit methodologies combined with the strength and conditioning techniques used for combat athletes. The readers of Creative Loafing voted Unit 2 CrossFit the best CrossFit gym in Atlanta.
What sets us apart from other CrossFit gyms is that all of our memberships include unlimited access to kickboxing classes, our full gym during normal business hours, and discounted martial arts classes.
We welcome people of all fitness levels to join our classes. Our instructors change the daily workouts to fit the needs of each member. We understand that many of the movements in the Workout of the Day (WOD) can seem daunting at first. That’s why we offer a bi-weekly skills program that focuses just on the program fundamentals. We highly recommend this class to our new members as well as seasoned CrossFitters working to strengthen their weaknesses.
Unit 2 offers both WOD classes and Skills classes.
WOD Classes – 1 hour class that follows our posted WOD
- Warm up / Skills Work
- Strength building workout
- Metabolic conditioning workout or endurance workout
On Ramp Program- Everyone that joins our CrossFit program is required to attend our 2 week On Ramp Program. The only exception to this policy is for experienced CrossFitters that are coming over from another box. Our 2 week program starts on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month. These classes do fill up so you need to register for the next one in advance to guarantee a spot. The On Ramp Program meets 3 times per week for 2 weeks and covers everything you need to know to get started in the program.
